POINT GUARDS

Eric Bell (2005)
Eric was the playmaker for the ECR basketball team in 2005. Eric went on to have a standout career at Santa Monica City College before finishing his basketball career at Notre Dame de Namur University. Eric is now an assistant coach at Santa Monica High School for the Boys Varsity Basketball team as well as assists with the Cal Stars AAU program.

Elan Buller (1997)
Holds the single-game scoring record with 47 points against Granada Hills High school. Elan was an All-League and All-City player while at ECR. Buller went on to play for Pepperdine in the WCC.

Rai Colston (2004)
Rai was a four year Varsity starter and one of the Top point guards in the LA-City section during his career For the Conquistadores. During his career, Rai was a multiple All-League selection. Rai was also named a top Sophomore, Junior, and Senior in Southern California by Slam Jam Basketball. Rai was a key member of the 2002 Varsity Slam Jam (Silver Division) Tournament Championship Team where he scored 12 points in the championship game against LACES and the 2002 Varsity Slam N Jam (Bronze Division) Tournament Championship Team where Rai scored 23 points in the championship game against Hillcrest Christian (Granada Hills). Rai finished off his senior season by being named "Team MVP" for the 2003-2004 season. Rai had a career-high of 40 on senior night against Chatsworth and was a member of the Battle of the Valley All-Star team. Rai went on to play D1 basketball at CSUN after a two year stellar career at LA Valley College.

Kelton Conway (2014)
Kelton was the 6th man on the 2014 D1 LA-City championship team where ECR beat Westchester for the first time in program history. Kelton also played a role in helping ECR win the City championship in 2012. Kelton provided a spark off the bench that consisted of great leadership, energy, scoring, and game management. Kelton was an All-League player during his career at ECR before taking his talents to CSUN where he played on the basketball team.

Jeff Davis (1978)
Known as the “Ice Man” he teamed with Robert “Red” Williams as the team’s playmakers his senior year. During his senior year, Jeff helped lead the Varsity to a West Valley League Championship in 1978 and earned honorable mention All-Valley honors from the LA Times. The Varsity finished with a #5 ranking in the City Section, losing in the LA City 3A semi-finals in double overtime to North Hollywood. Jeff helped lead the Conquistadors to a summer league City Championship in 1977. Jeff went on to play at East Texas State before coming back to ECR to be the boys Head JV/Varsity Assistant Coach for several years, before moving on to Canoga Park High and Burbank High as the Head Boys Basketball Coach. Played varsity baseball for two years as well at ECR.
Shayan Edrisavi (2009)
Shayan was a natural born leader at the point guard position. Shayan transfered in from Chaminade and made an impact right away. Shayan was an All-League selection his Senior Year and was invited to play in the Battle of the Valley All-Star game feathering the best players in the San Fernando Valley in 2009.

Jason Farrell (1989)
A lightning quick point guard for the 1989 LA City 3A semi-finalist squad. A two-year varsity letterman, Jason led the team in both assists and steals his senior year and came up big in the playoff run that year, that was highlighted by his huge game against Fremont in the City semi-finals, as he teamed with Lofton and Steele to bring the Conquistadores to the brink of their first-ever city final at that time only to fall a few points short to Fremont.

Maleke Haynes (2014)
One of the fastest Point Guards in the City during his career at ECR. Maleke was the floor general that guided ECR to a 2012 and 2014 City Championship. All-League and All-City Selection.

Marcus Lewis (2005)
Lighting fast guard. Given the nickname Shake N Bake for his quickness and ball-handling ability. Marcus transferred into ECR from Manual Arts High School for his final two years of High School. Marcus helped bring the ECR varsity basketball team back to city playoff contention. Marcus had a solid senior season. Marcus had a big game with 18 points against LACES high school in the War on the Floor Showcase event. Marcus's light quick speed and pressure defense gave other teams problems on both ends of the floor.

Mike McNulty (1972)
Captain of the 1972 team that went 17-2 overall and which won the West Valley League Championship with a 10-0 record. He teamed with Ken Thompson (Cal) to lead the team to a #4 ranking in the LA City Section when there was just one division in the City Section. McNulty was named First Team All-League as a Senior and Second Team All-League as a junior. McNulty went on to become the Head Boys Varsity Coach for ECR from 1982-1992.
Bruce Neale (2002)
Athletic scorer at the Point Guard position. Lead the LA City Section in assists with 6.4 during the 1999-2000 season.

JT Nemit (2012)
Starting point guard for the team that made it to the D3 City Title Game. Named Team Captain and was a two-time All-League selection his senior year while just averaging just under nine points per game. Named All-Tournament team at the Calabasas Tournament in 2008 and the Simi Valley Tip-off Classic in 2009. JT went on to play at Tabor College.

Nathan Pitts (2007)
Floor general and starting point guard of the 2007 team. Scored 19 points against Belmont his senior year. Helped lead ECR back to the playoffs his senior year in 2007.

Brandon Russell (2016)
Son of former NBA player Byron Russell. Named All-League, All-City, and, All-State at El Camino Real.

Adam Sacks (1986)
Adam was one of the most underrated players in the Valley in 1986. Sacks turned into a team leader and scored a career best 24 points to beat Granada Hills in the North Hollywood Tournament which was just one of many of his high scoring games during his career. Adam went on to play basketball at Cal Poly Pomona after his playing career at ECR.

Sam Sarpong (1992)
In his senior season, Sarpong averaged 17.2 points and 9.7 assists and helped El Camino Real to a 13-9 record and a berth in the City Section 3-A Division playoffs. The season before, he averaged 15.6 points and 4.3 assists. After High School Sarpong went on to become a famous Model. Sarpong modeled for Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, and Versace.

Chris Terry (2015)
Named All-League, All-City and West Valley League Most Valuable Player at El Camino Real. Helped lead ECR to the 2014 City Championship.

Robert "Red" Williams (1979)
Robert teamed with Jeff Davis as playmakers for their historic run in 1977-78 where Robert and his team won the West Valley League Championship and advanced to the LA City 3A semi-finals. Robert was not only one of the assist leaders for that season, but he was also an adept passer. He was also a leader in steals per game. Robert helped lead the Conquistadors to a summer league City Championship in 1977. Robert went on to play college basketball at the University of Portland after his playing days at ECR.
WINGS (Shooting Guards and Small Forwards)

Troy Biglow (2017)
An athletic guard who was an All-City selection his freshman, and sophomore year. All-league selection in his junior and senior year. Went on to play college basketball at El Camino College.

Kyle Braun (2020)
Kyle had a stellar playing career during his time at ECR. Kyle was named to the CIF-LA All-City Team, All-West Valley Team, and Cal-Hi Sports All-State D3 Team. Kyle will be playing college basketball for Marshall University.

Markee Brown (1993)
One of the most elite guards to come out of not only ECR, but in the City Section. As a Junior and Senior, Markee was a “Player to Watch” by the LA Times. Markee Brown averaged 19.6 points a game as a junior. Went on to have a solid playing career at Oregon State after his great playing career at El Camino Real.

Lewis Cohen (1974)
An All-West Valley league player, Lewis Cohen is the only player in El Camino Real basketball history to be drafted into the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Phoenix Suns drafted the 6’4 left-handed Cohen after his stellar playing career at Cal Poly SLO. He went on to play professionally in Israel.

Jahville Collins (2019)
Jahville was an All-League and All-City player during his playing career at El Camino Real for the Varsity Team. Jahville brought elite speed and scoring ability during his time at ECR.

Steve Gray (1975)
A smooth guard with scoring ability, who used his physical strength to dominate smaller guards. After earning All-City honors in football as a linebacker/TE, Steve was named captain in 1975 for the Varsity basketball team. Steve was named First Team All-West Valley League in 1975 and averaged 19.6 points per game during that time. Steve continued his playing career at Duke University and was a member of the Duke team that lost in the NCAA Championship game to Kentucky in 1979.

Josh "Tre" Holden (2010)
Athletic Guard with great scoring ability. Josh was named 1st team all-league during his career at ECR. Lead ECR to the Division 3 title game in 2010.

Kevin Johnson (2004)
A competitive combo guard with scoring ability. Kevin won the team's “Coach’s Award” for the 2004 season for his leadership, hard work, skill, and scoring ability throughout the season.

Greg Kimbrel(1978)
One of the best pure shooters to ever play at El Camino, Greg was a knockdown long-range shooter on the 1978 West Valley League Championship team that reached the 1978 LA City 3A semi-finals. An All-West Valley league selection, Greg was named to the All-Tournament team of the Thousand Oaks Tournament in 1977. Greg also helped lead the Conquistadors to a summer league City Championship in 1977

Nick Kindel (2005)
Nick Kindel’s tenure at El Camino Real High School from 2001–2005 stands as a model of leadership, basketball intelligence, and championship-level influence. Playing under head coaches John Gould and Alex Lopez, Kindel distinguished himself as a steady, trusted presence—an on-court extension of the coaching staff whose discipline, preparation, and team-first approach set the standard within the program. Coach Lopez described Kindel as “a hard worker and good listener,” praising him as “an excellent teammate and leader” and “a special player and person, a young man of conscience and character,” while also recognizing his ability as an elite three-point shooter. Coach Gould echoed those sentiments, calling Kindel “a solid shooter” and likening his dependable, poised style to that of “a coach’s son.”
Kindel’s impact was most evident on the championship stage. He played a key role in El Camino Real’s two Slam Jam Tournament titles in 2002, delivering when the stakes were highest. In the Varsity Slam Jam Silver Division Tournament, Kindel averaged 12 points per game during the championship rounds, helping lead the Conquistadores to a title victory over LACES. Earlier that season, as a sophomore, he averaged 8 points per game in the Slam N Jam Bronze Division championship rounds, culminating in a tournament championship over Hillcrest Christian. Among his individual highlights was a career-high 21-point performance against S.O.C.E.S., showcasing his ability to rise to the moment.
A recognized sharpshooter, Kindel was named one of the top shooters in the San Fernando Valley by Slam Jam Basketball during both his junior and senior seasons and competed in the Slam Jam Showcase events against premier talent from across Southern California. His accomplishments also include being named Junior Varsity Most Valuable Player—highlighted by a 32-point performance against Chatsworth—serving as captain of the freshman team, and concluding his career as varsity captain. He was honored with the Varsity Coach’s Award in recognition of his leadership, work ethic, and consistent perimeter shooting.
Ron Levy (2005)
Ron was known for having a hard working work ethic and being a three-point shooting specialist. Through out his career at ECR, Ron had many multiple made three-point shooting games. Ron had a few games in his career where Ron would catch fire and make five three-pointers in a game. Ron was named Most inspirational for the 2004-2005 Varsity basketball season.

Chris Manson (2001)
Played Varsity basketball from his freshman year all the way thru his senior year. Heavily recruited in his senior year from great programs such as USC, UCLA, Oregon, Connecticut, and he was also being looked at by the San Antonio Spurs according to inside sources. Senior year Chris and the team were extremely well in pre-season. Chris was averaging 32 Points, 10 Rebounds, and 5 Assist. Unfortunately during the 1st game of the season all that came to an end in the 2 quarter of the game on a fast break Chris was going up for a Dunk against a 7 foot center for Birmingham, and his foot cracked once in the air also again when he came back down... Out for the rest of the season.

Mike May (1974)
During Mike’s playing career at ECR. Mike was named All-City in 1974 and first-team All-West Valley league in both 1973 and 1974. Mike averaged 19.6 points a game his Senior Year. Mike went on to have a solid playing career at BYU, where he was a teammate of Danny Ainge. Mike went on to coach varsity basketball at Colton High School and Hart High School, before moving to Utah to coach.

Damon Orlando (1988)
Skilled and athletic point guard. Damon was the team’s second-leading scorer with 10.6 points per game in 1988.

Todd Orlando (1990)
Damon’s younger brother earned first-team All-West Valley League honors his senior year, as he led the team in scoring and played solid defense.

Tim Preston (1983)
A 1983 grad, Tim was a two-year varsity starter who earned first team all-league honors in 1983. A 6’3 left-handed streak shooter, Tim and Doug Young led the Conquistadores to the 4A quarter-finals in ‘82-83 losing a close game to Dorsey. Tim went on to play college basketball at CSUN.

Evan Wardlow (2014)
Lockdown defender for the ECR Boys Basketball team who won the City Championship in 2012, and 2014. Evan was named All-League, West Valley League Most Valuable Player, and was named All-City during his playing career at ECR. Evan went on to play D1 basketball at Santa Clara University.

Roman Veytsman (2003)
Roman was a two-year varsity player for ECR from 2001-2003. Roman played a key role in winning two tournament championships in 2002. Roman averaged 15 points a game in the Slam N Jam Tournament Championship rounds. Roman hit the game winning shot at the buzzer to beat Mission Prep to advance to the championship game of the Slam N Jam Tournament. Roman hit 5 three-pointers and finished with 15 points in the championship game against Hillcrest Christian (Granada Hills). Roman was a member of the Maccabi 16u team during his career as well.

Doug Young (1983)
Doug Young named to the First-Team All Valley 4a basketball team in 1983 with a scoring average of just over 20 points per game. Young named Valley 1a-League Player of the Year in 1983. Doug went on to play college basketball for CSUN after his playing days at ECR.
Forwards
Charles Adams (1991)
A tremendous athlete, Charles led the ECR Varsity basketball team in scoring in 1993, after transferring from Canoga Park High. Charles was named to the All-League team as well as being named All-City in 1993.

Mike Bragg (1984)
Co-Captain and teams leading scorer his senior year with 22.7 points per game which was one of the five best in the City Section in 1984. Mike went on to play college basketball at Texas-San Antonio.

Michael Buller (2005)
Michael was named a top upcoming sophomore and junior by Slam Jam Basketball for the Class of 2005. Michael is the younger brother of Elan Buller who played at ECR in 1997 before moving on to play at Pepperdine. Mike was a long, skilled, athletic forward for the Conquistadores during his playing career.

Sean Davis (1987)
A three-year starter, Sean dominated Northwest Valley league competition with his superior athletic ability and strength. He was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder with averages of 19.8 points per game and 13.6 rebounds per game his senior year and at the time was the best athlete to come out of ECR in 1987. Sean played college basketball at San Jose State and CSUN.

Eddy Egun (2018)
All-CIF LA City Section Boys Basketball Team and All-Southern California Prep Insider Second Team and All-West Valley League selection. Eddy is currently playing D1 College Basketball for the Montana Grizzlies.

Tony Goodall (1986)
Tony was a three-year standout during his playing days at El Camino Real. Tony had a big senior year and was the team’s leader, leading scorer and shot blocker. Tony’s superb athleticism, shot-blocking and overall defensive abilities made him an unstoppable force during his career at ECR.

Richard Gary (1978)
Key member of the ‘77-78 squad. A three-year varsity football and basketball letterman and brother of Steve Gray. Rich was an HS All-American in football as a LB/TE; played college football at UCLA & Rice. At 6’3 225, Rich was a physical force and a standout power forward and rebounder on the ‘77-78 team that won the West Valley League title and advanced to the LA City 3A semi-finals, only to lose to North Hollywood in double overtime by a point.

Brent Lofton (1989)
First Junior in school history to be named All-City for boy’s basketball. Lofton was All-City 3A in 1989 and All-City 3A Player of the Year in 1989, along with being named a High School All-American before going on to play at Utah State and CSUN. In the 1989 LA City 3A semi-finals at Fremont High, Lofton turned in one of the most memorable playoff performances in City history with 36 points and 19 rebounds in a three-point loss to the Pathfinders.

Anthony Montoya (2009)
Anthony was a vocal leader from the forward position. Anthony was one of the best teammates and leaders during his time at El Camino Real. Anthony Montoya had a big game against Reseda High in 2008. Montoya finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds while making the key shot to win the game. That was just one of many big games Anthony had during his career at ECR. Anthony Montoya was an All-League selection as well as being invited to the Battle of the Valley All-Star game in 2008 feathering the best players in the San Fernando Valley area. Anthony Montoya received The Daily News All City Honorable Mention Award senior year. Had His best game against Granada Hills High school Lead ECR to The win with a 30 point 20 rebound night. On December 17th 2008 against reseda high school after the game Jack Pollon of the daily news gave Mr. Montoya a interview that was titled the next morning in the daily news under the boys basketball section titled “Montoya Leads ECR To Win” other honors for Anthony Montoya include

Marshall Plantz (1978)
A great 6’5 left-handed scorer and finisher, Marshall was team captain and an All-City selection in 1978. He was also an All-League selection in 1978 with a scoring average of 14.8 points a game, in leading ECR to the LA City 3A semi-finals. Marshall made the North Hollywood All-Tournament team and was MVP of the 1977 City Summer league tournament champion Conquistadores. Marshall went on to play college basketball at Montana State.

Julian Richardson (2014)
Julian was a Captain on the 2014 City Championship team. Helped lead ECR to the D2 City Championship in 2012. Julian Was named All-League, All-City, and All-State in his career. Julian went on to play D1 basketball at CSUN. Julian's father is the UCLA great Pooh Richardson.

Micheal Thomas (2013)
Michael a member of the 2013 California All-State Team for Boys Basketball. Michael was named West Valley League MVP during his playing career. Michael went on to play for the University of Hawaii.

Temjae Singleton (2011)
Four-year Varsity player for Coach David Rebibo. Averaged 14.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game his senior year. Singleton went on to play at Arizona Western College and then transferred to play basketball at Cal State Fullerton. All-league selection.

Jordan Warren (2005)
Jordan was named a top sophomore, Junior, and Senior in Southern California by Slam Jam Basketball. Jordan had great athleticism at the forward spot with great shot-blocking ability. Jordan played a key role in two tournament championships for the Conquistadors in 2002. In the Slam Jam Tournament Championship Game against LACES. Jordan provided a great defensive presence by blocking shots and contributing 8 points to help the Conquistadores win the Silver Championship of the Slam Jam Tournament.

Chris Wasney (1976)
Chris led ECR in scoring with 23 points a game, which was the third-highest in L.A City in 1976, which earned him a spot on the All-City team in 1976. Wasney shared MVP honors in the West Valley League in 1976 and led ECR to a league title that same year.

Bob White (1978)
Bob was a dead-eye long-range shooter and was named second-team All-League in 1978 as a senior. White was second on the team in scoring behind Plantz with an average of 14.7 per game and came up with a big game in the double-overtime loss to North Hollywood in the LA City 3A semi-finals.
Centers

Frank Ferguson (1978)
Frank was the man in the middle and the leading rebounder for the historic 1978 ECR basketball team. Frank helped lead the Conquistadores to the 1978 West Valley League Championship, an appearance in the LA City 3A semi-finals and a summer league city championship in 1977. Frank went on to play college basketball at Claremont/Harvey Mudd after his playing career at ECR.

Ryan Griffith (2002)
Ryan was given the nickname “Biggie” for his 6’7 size and strength. Ryan was a dominant rebounder and shot-blocker during his playing career at ECR. Ryan went on to play at College of the Siskiyous, Chico State and had a small professional career playing in China after his ECR playing days. Ryan is now a lawyer in the Northern California area.
Cameron Henderson (1996)
Cameron was one of the biggest and strongest big men in the Valley in 1995. Henderson scored 31 points against Rio Mesa in the Chaminade Tournament in 1995. That was just one of many high scoring games throughout his career at ECR.

Anthony Hines (1985)
A 6’7 center/forward with guard skills, Hines was a two-year varsity letterman that really came on his senior year to lead the team in rebounding and blocked shots. A 1985 grad, Anthony earned first team all league honors and a D1 scholarship to the University of Tulsa.

Derren Morgan (1982)
Darren was the unsung hero of Coach McNulty’s early ECR teams. A ferocious post defender and tenacious rebounder, he led the team in rebounding in 1982. Often outsized by 3-4 inches in the post, Morgan dominated the glass the entire season.

Larry Murphy (1981)
The Daily News named Murphy the best dunker in the Valley. The 6’7 left-handed Murphy was named second-team All-City his Senior year in 1981 with a scoring average of 16.3 points per game. Murphy was also named All-West Valley League First Team his Senior Year. Murphy went on to play college basketball at CSUN.

Blair Orr (2014)
Big man in the paint. Member of the 2014 City Championship team. 2014 CIF All-City Section Team. Went on to play college basketball at CSUN.
Kelvin Patterson (2005)
Kelvin was the “Team MVP” his senior season. Kelvin was a strong low post player with elite rebounding ability.

Julian Rochelin (2014)
Julian was the big man in the middle for the 2012 and 2014 city championship teams. Julian was an All-League performer that dominated the boards and played great lockdown defense of some of the best big men in the LA-City Section. Julian went on to have a great football career at SDSU.

Mark Runyan (1976)
Mark Runyan was a fearless rebounder and team's second-leading scorer in 1976. Mark Runyan averaged 14.6 points a game his senior year which got him a First Team All-League selection along with teammate Chris Wasney.
Justin Saad-Anthony (2000)
Justin was a do it all guy. His senior year, Justin averaged 23.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. Justin Saad-Anthony was an All-League and an All-City selection during his time at ECR. Justin was also the son of former NBA great Robert Parish.
Jason Steele (1989)
A two-year varsity starter, the 6’9 Steele came into his own his senior year to dominate the West Valley league in rebounding and blocked shots. A ferocious dunker, Steele as named All-West Valley League his senior and teamed with Lofton and Farrell to lead ECR to the City 3A semi-finals in ’89. After graduating from ECR Steele played two years at College of the Sequoias and then at Eastern Washington University.

Ken Thompson (1972)
One of the first players to play and Captain the boy’s basketball team at El Camino Real. Part of the dynamic duo of Thompson & McNulty, Ken had a game-high of 28 points against Granada Hills in 1971, which was one of the very first victories over the Highlanders. Ken was named Most Valuable Player of the West Valley League and was named Second Team All-City his Senior Year with a 19.5 points per game scoring average. Ken was the first ECR basketball player to earn a Division I scholarship as he went on to play at Cal-Berkeley.

Ben Todd (2020)
Ben had a stellar junior year at ECR. Ben is one of the tallest players in program history to come out of ECR. Being 6’10 gave Ben a huge advantage over other players. Ben was an All-League Selection his junior year. Unfortunately, knee injuries took over his senior year and was not able to play.

Todd Wolfson (2003)
A member of the 2002 Varsity Slam Jam (Silver Division) Tournament Championship Team (17 points in the Championship game) and the 2002 Varsity Slam N Jam (Bronze Division) Tournament Championship Team (17 points in the Championship game).Todd was named a top junior and senior in Southern California by Slam Jam Basketball. Todd was named All-West Valley League his Senior Year.
